Scalpel welcomes you to the Year 4 Mind and Movement orthopaedic revision day on Saturday 23rd April 2016 at the Samuel Alexander Building (University of Manchester).
We’ll be running 5 workshops and a lecture through the day, delivered by both 5th year students and doctors. The workshops will be focusing on orthopaedic examinations and common pathologies of the shoulder, knee, hip, spine and hand, whilst the lecture will be covering x-ray interpretation, orthopaedic history taking and general OSCE tips.
The day’s timetable will look a little something like this:
Arrive at 8:30 for registration between 8:40 and 9:00
9:00-9:30: Lecture
9:30-10:20: Workshop 1
10:20-10:50: Coffee Break
10:50-11:40: Workshop 2
11:40-12:30: Workshop 3
12:30-13:00: Lunch
13:00-13:50: Workshop 4
13:50-14:40: Workshop 5
The price for the day is just £5 for Scalpel members and £6 for non-members. Spaces are very limited so make sure you purchase your ticket soon to guarantee a place on the day. All tickets through the link will be priced at £6, and a £1 refund will be provided on the day with presentation of your scalpel membership card (don’t worry if you dont have your card yet!)
