Scalpel is proud to announce the return of our Second Trauma Conference: Trauma in the Trenches!

In collaboration with the Friends of Davit Nott Foundation, Friends of MSF, and the University of Manchester Plastics, T&O, and ENT societies, we are offering a day dedicated to frontline trauma care, surgical skills and learning from experts in high-stakes environments.

Following on from last year’s success, our conference involves a full day of expert speakers and hands-on workshops covering trauma management. The afternoon features interactive workshops on trauma triage, emergency care, and surgical skills, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

This year’s theme, Trauma in the Trenches, explores the harsh environments faced by surgeons in some of the world’s most devastating warzones and how they adapt to these challenges, while also reflecting on the profound mental and physical toll it takes on them.
