Thank you all for attending our Surgical Experience Fair 2024, and for all the positive feedback!

Summary of the day’s events:

Thank you Dr Mahmoud and Mr Macutkiewicz for two interesting and informative talks, on the topics of Surgical Training and Specialties, and LGBTQ in Surgery respectively. The talks were followed by our ‘Battle of the surgical specialties’ panel debate. We had the opportunity to hear from a number of surgeons from different specialties about various important factors such as work-life balance and job satisfaction. After lunch, attendees participated in workshops including T&O, a surgical escape room, and CV clinic, running alongside our ‘experience fair’ stalls which featured an anatomy quiz, laparoscopy, and basic surgical skills. Overall, we are glad to have seen so many new as well as familiar faces and look forward to welcoming you to our future events!
